In the year 117 AD, Centurion Quintus Dias, MICHAEL FASSBENDER, is the sole survivor when his men are wiped out by savage Picts. Because he can speak Pictish (Scots Gaelic) he isn’t slain and is duly rescued by the 9th Legion, led by General Titus Virilus, DOMINIC WEST which has been ordered into Caledonia to wipe out the Picts and to kill their king, Gorlacon. – but the legion is betrayed by their Pict guide, Etain , Olga Kurylenko, a female warrior from the Brigantes tribe.
